City Auditorium

The Marburg City Auditorium …

…is named after the renowned theatre director Erwin Piscator. With 100,000 visitors each year, it is Marburg’s largest venue.

Cultural events from theatre and concerts to operettas, ballet and comedy as well as festi-vals, markets, fairs, meetings and conventions take place at this address.

The auditorium’s service organises the New Year’s concert on January 1st , the Marburg Arts and Crafts Fair on the first weekend of November, and is furthermore responsible for the Open-Air stage in the Castle gardens and for the non-athletic events that are held in the gymnasium of the Kaufmännischen Schulen (School of Business) at the Georg Gassmann Stadium.
